My Journey To Oceans of Fun
Organized by: Angelica Acevedo
EVENT DATE Apr 20, 2015
My name is Angelica Acevedo. I am a freshman in college and it is my life-long dream to work with animals. I am currently studying Psychology and minoring in Biology. When I graduate I hope to work as an animal trainer and educate generations of people the importance of taking care of our environment. To help me reach my goal I applied (and was accepted) to do an internship in Oceans of Fun in Hershey Park, Hershey PA.
Oceans of Fun, a non-profit organization, is home to various pinniped species, such as California sea lions, Atlantic and Pacific Harbor seals, and is an interactive educational facility. They are dedicated to the field of marine mammal science and education and it is their goal to provide the best possible environment, training, husbandry and care for our marine mammals with the focus of educating the public about marine life, environmental protection and conservation. Here is a link to their website if you would like to learn more: http://www.oceansoffun.org/
With this internship, an entire world of opportunities has opened up to me but I need your help! The money raised will be used for room, board, and transportation in Pennsylvania. Working with animals has been a passion of mine for literally as long as I can remember. Please help me reach my goal by donating or (and) spreading the word to your friends. Thank you so much for your time and cooperation! It means the world to me!
