Hi my name is Lavalle Johnson im 29 years old born in Sandusky Oh raced in Detroit Michigan where I currently reside. The rest of my family moved back to Ohio in 2004 I stay living in Detroit Michigan all by myself. Growing up as a young adult I really enjoyed myself traveling all around the world hanging out with family and close friends on November of 2014 my whole life changed. I caught an infection in my spine and it damaged my spinal cord causing me to become paralyzed from the waist down. I ended up going to the emergency from the emergency I got admitted and discharged to a nursing home the youngest in the facility. Stayed in long term care for 8months and discharged to my own apartment. Then got setup by this agency stating I was going to get more caregiving hours and discharged out the nursing home and don't get as many caregiving hours I was told that I was going to receive insurance keep denying for this and that and sometimes I get very depressed cause it was a fast change and It prevents me now to live a normal life I don't go no where anymore I don't see my family on the regular its sad.... So I was watching the news and I seen a story about a machine called ReWalk and it helps paraplegics stand, walk, live a normal life, ease and take pain away And I was like whoa that is so great I was feeling so down and I seen this story I said there is a chance... But the only thing now I'm thinking about is my insurance now my insurance isn't going to pay for this im sure. I really would love ReWalk its hard for me to get the proper therapy cause my insurance will not approve me for the treatments I need I can't nor my family can afford the costs as well its like im just stuck in the middle of no where. It really makes me frustrated from time to time (I need help or advice).... (PLEASE SHARE!!!!!!)
