BENEFITING: Maasai Wilderness Conservation
Its my birthday!!!
This year I don't want any presents. What I really want is for everyone to donate to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust (MWCT).
My good friend Edward Norton, who is the president of this trust has showed me the incredible work that the MWCT is spearheading (pun intended).
I've traveled to Kenya twice now and both times the Maasai welcomed me into their homes and showed me the beauty of their culture. I learned so much and now I want to give. MWCT is an absolutely phenomenal organization.
MWCT works to protect ecosystems and astounding biodiversity of East Africa through conservation that directly benefits local Maasai communities.
While I was there I visited the schools and clinics that the trust supports and I participated in the tracking of lions and other wildlife preservation programs that they are running there to ensure that our grandchildren can still see lions one day.
I'm going to go back this summer and hopefully every summer. There really is something wonderful happening there and I'd love for any and all of you to come take the trip with me and experience it first hand. MWCT is a really lean organization but they constantly are in need of funding for their programs.
On my birthday, the best gift you could give me is the gift of a donation to MWCT.
Any amount will make me happy and will help the Maasai. Larger amounts will make me love you more!!!
