My Volunteer Trip to Blackfeet Reservation

This past summer I was fortunate enough to live in Accra, Ghana for a month. While there I lived with a local host family and volunteered at a school for low income children. During the trip, and afterward, I learned the value of living a life in service of others and finding understanding through immersion.
When I came back, I immediately wanted to travel and start volunteering again. I found a volunteer program that focuses solely on community service and development, Visions Service Adventures. They offer a program on Native American Reservations, and I have chosen to go to Blackfeet Reservation in Glacier National Park. Though traveling abroad and experiencing a world far outside of my own was life changing, I have realized that there is plenty of work to do on the home front, especially in reservations. This opportunity will allow for me to be doing more laborious work five days a week and see the projects that I will be working on grow and benefit the community, even in small ways.
It is important to me that I volunteer on this trip, however, it is also important that I work hard for it. By visiting this fundraising page, I hope that you will donate however much you feel appropriate to the cost of the trip. Every donation or show of support is greatly appreciated!
