BENEFITING: SAN DIEGO JUNIOR LIFEGUARD FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: Luka and Anya
EVENT: Swim 24 Challenge 2016
EVENT DATE: Aug 27, 2016
Zara (age 10) and Stella (age 7) have set themselves the challenge of taking part in swim24 - which is a 24-hour swim relay to raise money for prevention of drowning.
From noon on Saturday 27th Aug to noon on Sunday 28th Aug both girls will swim laps - relay style as part of the Tadpoles team!!
Swim 24Challenge benefits the San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation's
water safety and drowning prevention initiatives in San Diego.
Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death among children. For minority children and those under age four, it is the number one cause.
To date, SDJGF has helped saved more than 100,000 lives in our community by providing swimming lessons to those who otherwise couldn't afford them and through their Aquatic Safety/Bridge to Beaches Education programs.
This is a great opportunity to support a cause that directly saves lives and rasies awareness. Please help the girls fundraise by donating to the swim - every $100 raised is enough to teach a child to swim :)
Many thanks for your support!!!!
