The Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) is the premier equestrian competition in North America for junior and young riders, age 14-21. Young equestrians vie for team and individual FEI medals in the three Olympic equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage, eventing, the Para-Olympic discipline of para-dressage and the FEI World Equestrian Games disciplines of reining and endurance. The competition is run under rules of the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale), the international governing body for equestrian sport, and is the only FEI championship held annually on this continent.
This year I am competing on my 12 year old KWPN gelding Zimba. Zimba and I have been together for the past 4 years and this season we have been getting scores up to 65% in NAJYRC national qualifiers from FEI 4* Judges. I am so lucky to be able to compete at North Americans this year since it is my last year to compete as a young rider, as I age out next season.
Since NAJYRC is in Colorado this year the expenses are higher than usual and I need help getting there. With the price of flying Zimba there and the expenses for myself and my trainer for 9 days it can be pricy. I am currently trying to raise $5,000 to help with the trasnporation of Zimba. Every dollar can help and I am grateful to anyone that can help me and Zimba out and help make our dreams of having a chance to win a medal come true. Thank you again for any support that can be given.
