UPDATE FROM MARYLEE 7/26/2015
It turns out MaryLee had so much more than a broken leg! Her tibial plateau was completely shattered, her right arm was broken, and by the time she was transported to Stanford (5 days after the injury) she had developed two life threatening blood clots, one in each leg. Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bishop and his team decided to treat the blood clots with blood thinner protocols using Coumadin and Lovenox shots. The tibial plateau needed to be sculptured from cadaver bone, metal, glue and anything that could be salvaged from MaryLee's tibial plateau. Essentially a big empty space needed to be filled and shaped, the knee cap needed to be set back in place.

The complications of this major surgery for MaryLee are:
- 12 weeks of non-weight bearing healing time for the left leg
- 8 weeks of non use for her right arm
- An unknown amount of time to begin the process of weight bearing activity
- Many weeks of occupational and physical therapy

Being an independent, self-employed musician means that all income has stopped, until she is well enough to perform again. Although she hopes to sing from her wheel chair as soon as she can, she will still miss three or more months of work.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your donation to support MaryLee Sunseri as she recovers from one ugly fall. She has always been a pillar of light and love for our family. We are proud to shine a little bit of that light and love back at her.

She was transferred from CHOMP to Stanford for surgery which went well and she is receiving excellent care at a Rehab Center in Sunnyvale, but it will be at least 12 weeks before she can return to work. Your donations to support her during this time are so appreciated! THANK YOU DEAR FRIENDS!
