We Need Your Help Naming Our New Resident... and Keeping Our Animals Cool This Summer!
In April, the Conservators Center (a nonprofit wildlife conservancy in Burlington NC) received a request to provide a loving home for a young, wild canine that was found in North Carolina by well-intentioned individuals who thought they were rescuing an abandoned domestic puppy. When a veterinarian suspected he might be part or even full coyote, it was unfortunately too late to reunite him with his family, and it therefore became necessary to find him a safe place to live out his life.
The Conservators Center was happy to welcome him to his new home! Whether full coyote or coy-dog (it is impossible to tell at this age), he will be well cared for and very loved with us.
This energetic and rambunctious little dude has quickly settled in to his new routine and home, and is being hand-reared by a highly trained handling team. He has absolutely captured our hearts. But we need YOUR help in choosing a name for him!
So, for every $25 you donate to this fundraise devoted to helping us keep our animals cool in the summer, you will receive one entry into a drawing for the privilege of choosing a name for our new resident!
A $50 donation enters your name twice into the drawing pool; a $75 donation enters your name three times; and so on.
Bonus: Every donation of $100 enters your name into the drawing pool five times!
In two weeks, on Thursday, May 7th, we will hold a random drawing to select the lucky winner who will get to choose an appropriate name for our new friend.*
Any funds raised beyond the targeted amount will be allotted to our Animal Care Fund.
*The Conservators Center reserves the right to reject any name it deems inappropriate, for any reason. If this happens, the winner of the contest will then have the opportunity to choose an alternate name.
