nanas road to recovery
Organized by: matthew gonzalez
Liliana Grace Gonzalez ( age 16 months) had a 7 hour brain surgery performed yesterday ( 1-27-16) at Children's medical center in Dallas. The tumor in her little brain was the size of a tennis ball and interlaced to the muscles and bones of her neck. She is recovering in ICU and awaiting a third diagnostic MRI this morning. The biopsy results have not come in yet, and the severity of the tumor is still unknown as to weather or not it's cancerous and if so will require chemotherapy and/or radiation. The doctor cautioned liliana's parents that the type of tumor he had removed has a tendency to return and that her motor skills may have been affected due to its location, she will require physical therapy. Lili as she is affectionately called, is the youngest of four children. All of theses children are being raised to be polite, grateful and to have careing hearts for others indeed. Their mom guides them each year, to facilitate diaper drives at rucker elementary for the local food pantry! Dad is committed to the financial support of his family; he is the manager of a local car wash and works as much overtime as possible. There is absolutely no lack of love in the Gonzalez household! Financial challenges now facing this family are overwhelming, medical necessities for lili are top priority. Her dad has had to take time off from work and is paid hourly. The hospital is 70 miles round trip from their modest rental home in prosper, Texas. It is unknown how long mom and lili will remain at the hospital and also what continued recovery treatment will be necessary. All friends and family of this special and very deserving family, we are asking you to pray and fully consider making a donation to help them through this incredibly challenging and emotional time. Your donations will be received by very grateful hearts. Thanks you so much.
