On your marks…get set…GO! to the 6th Annual Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run, Walk, & Roll! Join us on the grounds of Elim Christian Services in Palos Heights, Illinois, to lace up your running or walking shoes and stride for the finish line on Saturday, May 7, 2015 at 9:00 am.
Participants may choose between the timed 5K course and the untimed short loop course (1 mile) on Elim’s campus. Registered runners will receive official times for the 5K. The Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run, Walk, & Roll will benefit the work of the agency for the sixth year in a row this May, supporting essential resources for children and adults with disabilities. Elim hopes to raise $81,200 through this fun family event to fund sensory items for our program for students with autism, iPads for both our school and adult services programs, an EasyStand with accessories, benches for our school playgrounds, a SMARTBoard for adult services, and more! All registered participants will receive a free T-shirt and will also enjoy music, refreshments, and raffle drawings. Kids will even have the opportunity to partake in a free pre-race obstacle course. In addition, this year’s 5K event has a “Star Wars” theme, and costumes are welcome!
