BENEFITING: Delaware Humane Association
EVENT DATE: Oct 06, 2013
Please help me make a difference in the lives of homeless animals at Delaware Humane Association's no kill animal shelter and adoption center in Wilmington, DE.
I am raising money in support of Tails Around the Tower, DHA's 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals. Your donation will help DHA take care of cats and dogs with nowhere else to go and give them another chance for a place to call home. Some just need food and shelter, others need extra medical care, behavioral training, or more time for their perfect match to come along. And in return, these animals enrich the lives of the people who adopt them. So, you're really making twice the difference with one small gift!
The dog in the photo is Kerberos (Kerby), who I adopted from the Houston SPCA when he was 8 to 10 weeks old. He is now nearly 16! The cat is Munchie, my first bottle baby and first foster assignment for DHA. She came home with me when she was 2 weeks old and never left (except to come to work with me until she was weaned). She is now about 5 years old and completely in love with Kerby. Over the years she has persistently worn down his reservations about her adoration. My other cat, 6 year old Q, came to me as a stray and is completely baffled by her preference.
