Narrative 4 is an innovative global organization headed up by some of the world’s most renowned and influential authors, artists and community leaders who have come together to promote empathy through the exchange of stories. In an effort to break down barriers and shatter stereotypes, we encourage people to walk in each other’s shoes and prove that not only does every story matter, every life matters.
Our organization knows no boundaries. We work with students and teachers from the south side of Chicago, kids in Limerick and Belfast, young women in Kabul, immigrants in the Barrio, exonorees and state attorneys, CEOs and employees, politicians on both sides of the fence – the list is endless. And our work is extraordinarily necessary.
Already we have set up programs for teenagers in Chicago, Illinois, Newtown, Connecticut, Tampico, Mexico, Limerick, Ireland, and Port Elizabeth, South Africa - and we plan to be in 100 additional cities in three years. Imagine our world when kids from Belfast begin to walk in the shoes of kids from Detroit. When teens from Haiti see through the eyes of teens from Gaza. In essence, they become one another and learn to care about each other’s lives and futures – and ultimately they come to understand that they are not alone.
These story exchanges build a mutual trust that strips away the typical narratives of cynicism and despair, allowing new ones to take shape: A narrative for immigration. A narrative for the environment. A narrative for religion. A narrative for peace. A narrative for change.
Your funds will support the very personal one-on-one work that is being done in the field. We have built an incredible network of ambassadors and invite you to join us and prove that we are ALL moving stories.
