BENEFITING: Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Mar 17, 2013
Mileage Tracker: 903
The Boys & Girls Club of Nashua’s Keystone Club is raising money so they can go to this year’s National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia!!
These dedicated 14 – 18 year olds have been working hard to raise the necessary funds for this trip, but they still need $5,000 dollars in order to cover travel, hotel, and conference fees for all its members. With a fundraising deadline of March 17th quickly approaching, please don’t miss out on this great opportunity to help these teenagers reach their goal!
It’s about 1,000 miles from New Hampshire to Georgia, so we’ll need to raise about $5.00 per mile to reach our $5,000 goal! But we can't do it without your help.
Donate two miles, four miles, ten miles, or even more. Every little bit helps!
Two miles: $10.00 Three miles: $15.00
Four miles: $20.00 Five miles: $25.00
Ten miles: $50.00 Twenty miles: $100.00
And we will be updating this page regularly in order to show you our progress. Don’t let these dedicated teens fall short of their 1,000 mile goal-- the conference is in Atlanta, so only making it halfway is not an option!!!
Thank you so much for all your support,
Boys and Girls Club supporters, volunteers, and Keystone members
What is Keystone?
Keystone is Boys & Girls Clubs of America's premiere teen leadership program. Founded in 1964, Keystoning works to fulfill our teenagers’ vitally important need for positive group experiences. With the guidance of Club staff, Keystone members are given numerous opportunities to make leadership decisions, to serve others, and to become actively engaged in both academic and career enhancement activities.
The primary goal of Keystoning is to promote character and leadership among our teenage club members. This cultivation of good character and effective leadership supports the development of productive, responsible and caring citizens; promotes lifelong civic engagement; fosters successful high school graduation rates, and broadens future employment opportunities.
What is the 2013 National Keystone Conference?
The National Keystone Conference provides Keystone members with a positive leadership experience in which they can engage and socialize with peers, explore relevant issues, and develop skills that support and enhance their efforts in both their hometown Boys & Girls Clubs and local communities.
Keystone members will learn skills and take part in brand new experiences that will better enable them to:
-Be a positive example and to provide leadership within their peer-base and local community as a whole
-Develop an increased awareness and appreciation of diversity and the value of tolerance
-Establish positive relationships with teenagers from throughout the U.S. and across the globe
-Engage in thought-provoking sessions and hands-on learning opportunities
