BENEFITING: Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, Inc.
EVENT DATE: May 17, 2014
Here we go again! Yes that's right, I'm running ANOTHER half-marathon! And this time I'm heading down that long 13.1 mile road to support a cause that's very near and dear to my heart: animal welfare.
If you know me at all you know my unwaivering love for ALL animals, and particularly how my heart goes out to those poor furry souls with no loving home of their own. I support any program that has a no-kill policy and for this reason I've joined the Miles for Paws team of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals to help raise money toward this very goal. The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals is committed to seeing the day when no New York City dog or cat of reasonable health and temperament is killed merely because he or she does not have a home.
The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, is the sole umbrella organization for animal welfare in NYC. Working with a coalition of 150+ rescue groups and no-kill shelters, their goal is to transform NYC into a no-kill community by 2015!
Please join me in supporting this wonderful cause and make a donation today! Any amount, big or small, would be a huge help.
And if you're in the neighborhood on May 17, come cheer me on as I run 13.1 miles for paws!
