BENEFITING: ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION
'm walking in memory and honor of my Nonni, who was taken from my family and I much too soon. She left us in November of last year after suffering from complications of this awful disease. The last few days of her precious life were by far the most difficult I have ever been through. My Nonni meant the world to me, and from a very young age I would sneak to the phone, when I was supposed to be napping just to call her. She taught me so many valuable lessons about life and was always the peace keeper in the family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, cook, and china painter. Every time I smell the ocean, watch the waves, feel the sand between my toes, admire a sunset, stop and look up at the bella luna (beautiful moon), admire a beautiful flower, tree or plant and share my knowledge of its variety with those around me, I will always think of her. She taught me the rule of "gentle services" always do onto others, as you would want them to do onto you, and to this day I try to live by that in each in every way. She is missed more than words could ever describe! I ask you to please find it in your heart to make a donation & help me meet my goal. This walk is a small, yet meaningful way for me to participate in the fight against Alzheimer's. I thank you in advance for your support.
