As with humans early detection is prevention. The National Canine Cancer Foundation's mission is : Education, Outreach, Reseach.
Matt is walking SurFur Libby in memory of his previous dog Stacy, affectionately known as Brown Dog. Stacy was orgininally adopted from the Humane Society in Fort Collins, Colorado. She had been previously abused and eventually surrendered. Stacy was Matt's ever present companion through his college years even accompanying him on frequent river rafting adventures, hunting and fishing trips. I'll be running with Pete in memory of my beloved "Harry" a Queensland Heeler who was adopted from the Palo Alto Animal Shelter booth at the Menlo Circus Club Horse Show. Harry was a happy-go-lucky dog.
We are walking and running at the PawsfurPink event in memory of both our dogs who passed from canine cancer. Stacy Matt's German Short Hair Pointer and Harry, a Queensland Heeler. Our fundraising campagin is to help raise any amount donations that will add up to help make a difference to increase the survival rate of dogs with canine cancer. Thank you for your pawsome support!
