Running the NYC marathon has been a goal of mine for years, as I follow the legacy of my father, a 6 time marathon finisher. For his 60th birthday, my brother and I will join him for his 7th race! We have chosen to run in honor of The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which is an incredible foundation. NCMEC is a nonprofit organization that seeks to find missing children and reduce and prevent the sexual exploitation of children. It was founded in 1984 by parents who felt disappointed and dejected by the lack of effort made by law enforcement officials in the case of their missing son. The catalyst of these heartbroken parents resulted in President Reagan's decision to allocate federal funding and resources to the cause, which was paramount in its beginning. My family's goal is to raise $6,000, which I believe that we can collectively accomplish with your help! Any donation is appreciated, as every penny counts!
