Albanian born and raised, molded in Los Angeles for 7 years. I can be a manic workaholic during the week and a chill dude at the beach during the weekend. My motto is life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
I ran the Long Beach Marathon in October 2014 without even training (and I also went out drinking beer the night before). However, I did end up just running it and also getting my PR. As such, if you want to do something do not think twice but "JUST DO IT". On the same token, I know most of you want to do good and also donate for a good cause, while you might have doubts before you donate - don't think twice but "JUST DO IT" :-).
Below is some short information of the 'National Kidney Foundation':
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is the largest, most effective and longstanding organization fighting kidney disease. They’ve been in continuous action for 65 years, supporting patients, caregivers, and professionals, and increasing awareness. Historically, kidney disease was not regarded as a major public health problem. Through the efforts of NKF, today kidney disease is being effectively treated as a serious condition. With skyrocketing rates of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease worldwide, resulting in a corresponding increase in chronic kidney disease, our work is more important than ever. NKF's priority are the people that we all care about—those affected by CKD—and is striving to improve their lives.
