I am the son of Sandy Noeth, a very caring and compassionate mother who lost her life to Parkinson ’s disease. Her goals were to retire on the lake, be a grandma and enjoy the golden years of her life. That unfortunately was taken from her due to this disease with no cure. My mom’s life is my inspiration for how I live today, knowing that I need to live in the moment and that tomorrow is never ever guaranteed. There was a time when I was living only for the future, working as many hours as it took to further my career. My focus was on my nest egg with the intention of enjoying life to the fullest when I retire. However my mother’s passing was a wakeup call for me and a realization that I had to make different decisions to live life to the fullest. My favorite quote is “I was living the AMERICAN DREAM and I realized it wasn’t my DREAM”. I decided I wanted to live life to the fullest today, right now and I wasn’t waiting another day. Along with this change in mindset, I also decided to live a healthier lifestyle. I have my Personal Training Certification and have the intentions of setting new fitness goals each year. The fitness goal that I set for myself in 2017 is to run a marathon. Much to my surprise, I found through my research that I could accomplish this goal by running in one of the biggest races in the world, and that I could do it in honor of my mother. The National Parkinson’s Foundation accepted me to run the New York City Marathon on November 5th 2017. To make the most of this opportunity I have organized a series of items to raffle for individuals who are willing to support me in this venture. The raffle includes a wide variety of prizes valued over $3,000, including (2) different Branson vacation packages totaling $1,200 each. Attached is the list of prizes you could win with your donation.
I am not a professional runner, I am not a professional organizer but I am a professional son who would like to help this organization move forward to find a cure for this disease.
