We believe that investing in children leads to a better future. That’s why The Learning Pond's vision is that every child has a great start in school and in life. The Learning Pond provides child care and preschool for the local population, placing particular emphasis on reaching low-income families and those with special childcare needs. Which include services for children and families who are homeless, non traditional families and families with non traditional work hours. The Learning Pond is a nature based to allow the children to really get to know their environment and explore the world around them. We are also play based meaning we don't stick to a strict schedule doing worksheets or anything. Instead, we use the power of play and opportunity. When we see a mud puddle we experiment if the rock/stick will sink or float, count rocks, practice our ABCs on the sidewalk, etc. Over the years, childcare and preschool program has given thousands of young children a head start in developing their early literacy skills as well as numerous established daycares, preschools, and nurseries. Early childhood learning years are critical for preschoolers because research shows that children gain a tremendous advantage in their ability to learn when they are taught to develop, not only academic skills but also non-cognitive social and emotional skills and behaviors that lead to their long-term success. Our Mission The Learning Pond improves all children’s access to high-quality early learning experiences by engaging with families, caregivers, and communities. Teaching Preschoolers Pre-Reading Skills Improves Academic Development, Promotes Lifelong Learning, Increases Family Engagement, and Instills Confidence and Perseverance When Faced With Challenges We believe that time spent at The Learning Pond can enhance the lives of children who may not have many opportunities to play and build the skills of parents and caregivers. From national research and personal experience, we know that this investment in children, families and play can create lasting positive benefits. To invest in our community and continue this great work, please consider Joining the Effort and Donate Now We need your support in order to fund this ongoing project, as you can imagine the expenses that are connected with running this project. So we are basically raising funds which will enable us to expand and operate in a broader way. In the meantime, we must count on people like you, almost for the very success of this project. Your right attitude and most importantly your FINANCIAL SUPPORT can see us through this project. We would be most grateful if you can support us; $1000, $5000, $15000, $20000 or any amount at all. It would be much appreciated, and well used. And Please Don't Forget, If you read this and you want to help but you have neither TIME nor MONEY that doesn’t mean that you can’t help, you can use the social media platform, to share this with your family and friends. YES HELP US MAKE SOME NOISE! We do hope you will honor our request for help. It will mean a great deal to us if you do so. Thank you for taking the time to view this campaign and please, if you feel it is a worthy cause, donate to help get The Learning Pond providing services to more families.
