NatureServe makes conservation actions more effective. We develop scientific knowledge and share it with the world, thanks to the NatureServe Network of biodiversity data experts. As biodiversity faces global threats, our scientists measure how vulnerable a species or place is to climate change - from polar bears in Canada to the pygmy rabbit in the mountains of Nevada to the lizards of South America - and empower others with the science and tools they need, to guide their actions, investments, and decisions.
We project future scenarios of climate change and visualize what those scenarios mean for our species and ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.
This leads to conservation success over time, from better protection for polar bear habitat to more rigorous tracking of the pygmy rabbit to education programs for local communities who impact the ecosystems the lizards need.
Join us in giving the world a better understanding of how the forces of global change impact the biodiversity on which all life depends.
