NELLIES CATWALK FOR KIDS via Crowdrise
April 25, 2012
Nellie's Catwalk for Kids (NC4K) was started back in 2006 by Nellie Krumlauf when she was 16 years old in the efforts of bringing childhood cancer to the forefront. The organization started off as just a summer fashion show wanting to get local kids and teens involved in helping make a magical difference. NC4K's mission is to actively help kids and teens and their families that are touched by cancer.
In 2007, Nellie's Catwalk for Kids was created and the first event was a summer fashion show because Nellie wanted to tie her passion to fashion. There were 25 kids and teens that modeled in the first fashion show held at Grand Host East in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Two hundred people were in attendance helping raise approximately $3,000!
We are hoping to raise $500,000 this summer through our events, ticket sales, and online fundraising page to help families with a child/teen battling cancer all across the nation by being there every step of the way to put gas in their tanks, food on their table, and smiles on their faces.
