EVENT DATE: Sep 27, 2015
A group of employees of the National Center for Security and Preparedness (NCSP) are participating in this year's Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk to honor the memories of all who were lost on 9/11/01 and to support the police, fire and EMS heroes who served so bravely that day and for the days, weeks and months following that brutal attack. Team NCSP is comprised of staff, subject matter experts, role players and other affiliated public safety training professionals who are committed to ensuring that New York's emergency responders are prepared to handle the challenges of responding to critical emergencies in a post 9/11 era. And we are proud to support the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The National Center for Security & Preparedness (NCSP) was established in July 2007. It is affiliated with the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Its offices are located in Albany, NY, but its operations extend across the State of New York and the nation. Through collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to excellence, the NCSP supports the nation's efforts to be secure from acts of terrorism and to be prepared to respond to incidents of high consequence and disasters through research, education, training, and technical assistance. NCSP has become a global leader and innovator in security and preparedness. The National Center for Security & Preparedness integrates research, education, training, and technical assistance.
The mission of the Stephen Siller Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. The foundation also honors our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
