Nepal was struck by a massive 7.9 earthquake on April 25, 2015.  Right now the death count is given as 4300 with several thousands injured (the casualities from the remote areas are yet to be accounted for).  We do know that the village of Archale where our organization, Saprinu, worked and many of us lived was devastated.  Aftershocks, landslides, heavy rains, and flooding are making rescue efforts very difficult. People are suffering from injuries and lack of food, clean water, and shelter. Those who survived are trapped as roads are impassable, and bridges have been destroyed. 
As the days and months pass, Nepal is going to continue to need a great deal of support to heal and rebuild.  Many worthwhile organizations will be giving aid.  Saprinu considers the people of Archale as family and we are committed to that small village and its surrounding area of Nuwakot. 100% of your donation will go directly to Archale through way of Saprinu and be allocated based on the greatest need.
