I am a nurse in the United States and last year, I had the privilege of being a part of a medical trip in India where we provided free medical care to those living in rural villages near Mainpuri, India. Afterwards, I spent a month in Nepal where I met KC and his family. KC, his son Bijay, and his team successfully guided me to Everest Base Camp and it was an unforgettable experience and a trip of a lifetime into one of the most beautiful places in the world. KC and his team are the utmost patient, compassionate, and unselfish people you will ever meet. And because of that, I have kept in touch with KC. Then in April 2015, two massive earthquakes hit Nepal in which more than 8,000 people have been killed and 500,000-600,000 families have lost their homes, according to CNN. KC and his family are one of these who have lost their home and have been living in these "tent cities" since the earthquake has occurred. Despite their losses and their current situation, KC and his family have been trying to help those in more need than they are by cooking and providing food to those less fortunate and doing whatever they can to help. This fundraiser is to help KC and his family rebuild their home. Any donation, small or big, is greatly appreciated.
