International Medical Corps A second major earthquake struck Nepal May 12. The 7.3 magnitude quake comes just weeks after the devastating earthquake that killed 8,046 people, injured more than 17,800 and caused widespread destruction across Nepal.
Your donation TODAY will hep our teams on the ground immediately begin delivering lifesaving medical care to those affected.
Our Emergency Response Lead, Sean Casey and his team deployed to Bhaktipur, where buildings have collapsed, leaving families without shelter. There, we are distributing tents, tarps, jerry cans, and other supplies for families. We also deployed a team of doctors to Patan Hospital in Kathmandu where casualties flooded in throughout the day. And less than 3 hours after the second quake struck, we had experts on a helicopter ferrying supplies and undertaking rapid aerial assessments near the epicenter.
This recent earthquake underscores how much more work needs to be done. It will take a massive, sustained effort and resources to help survivors in Nepal heal and rebuild in the days and weeks to come.
Families in need are depending on us, and we are so thankful that we can depend on supporters like you. Thank you!
