Nepal is a small third-world country, located between China and India, and home to the world's tallest mountain, Mt. Everest. On April 25th, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck the small country, its epicenter a mere fifty miles away from Kathmandu, leaving behind a trail of destruction and death. The death toll has reached well over seven thousand, and is expected to keep rising. Countless ancient, irreplaceable monuments were reduced to rubble, including Dharhara tower, an iconic nine-story watchtower built in 1832. When the tower collapsed, it trapped hundreds of tourists underneath it. Many survivors are left without electricity, food, and running water. Being from Nepal, it is hard to watch this tragedy unfold from halfway across the globe, and this fundraiser is one way that we can help the victims. Your generous support will help save lives and lessen the suffering.
