BENEFITING: Mason County Senior Activities Association
Nifty Thrifty Store is the major funding source of the Mason County Senior Activities Association. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of senior adults in our community through recreation, information, education and nutritional services, including health and wellness programs. We opened the thrift store in 1988 and operate on donated goods and volunteers for the majority of our staffing. As a nonprofit we have very little available for replacement of our fixtures. Our cash registers are starting to malfunction and to replace them with new POS registers will cost $8,500. The register purchase would help eliminate errors and enhance efficiency of processing customers. We have a large amount of tag switchers and this would help reduce this activity. We also need to change the way we display merchandise in our windows. Right now we have open book shelves wired to the wall in the window and these are weak , we need to replace them. This would be an additional $1,000. Senior citizens are often the last group of people to receive donations and we would appreciate any support from you.
