A New Goal to Make Waves!
Organized by: Amber Spiers
We've heard the voices from the poolside and have worked hard to make big changes to our swim block fundraising plan. We still need your help! We have visited Deer Lake to learn more about the block they use for their swim meets. Thanks to the Staska family for visiting, researching, measuring, & finally making a proto-type of the new and improved Woodfield Swim block. This block has been swimmer tested and parent & kid approved!!!
Thanks to their efforts the costs of replacing our blocks has dropped- dramatically! Please help us reach this goal so we can build our new blocks and be ready for the new season. The time is now to build these blocks- Woodfield community is replacing the pool deck in early October. We can work directly with Woodfield to insure the best fit!
As you many of you already know we are the Woodfield Waves, a small neighborhood swim team that has been around since the 80's. Summer swimming is our thing! We love to teach youth swimming and compete against other neighborhood teams. Ranging from ages 2 to 18 we love the fitness and fun that comes along with swimming. Our team might not be the best, but we are the most fun! Our neighborhood team is in desperate need of new swim blocks. Without new blocks we will be unable to host swim meets and will have a challenging time teaching our swimmers to start and dive.
Please help us reach our goal and keep this exceptional group of swimmers "Makin' Waves!"
