BENEFITING: Center for Participatory Change, Inc.
Thank you friends! We have reached our goal, but you can still donate! Each piece of equipment costs $200. The more we raise, the more we invest in infrastructure that supports language justice!
Our birthdays have passed but you can still get us the best present ever by supporting our language justice work!
This is a crucial moment for our work! We’re bringing in and mentoring new interpreters from Western North Carolina, our monthly practice sessions are about to kick off this summer, and we’re constantly interpreting at CPC’s Peer Network Circle gatherings. To do all of this, we need new equipment!!!
For those of you who know us, you know how important language justice is in our lives. Maybe you’ve been at a gathering and heard us interpret (while carrying a baby…. on a moving bus), maybe you’ve participated in an Interpreting in a Social Justice Movement training, or maybe we’ve nerded out about pronouns and transmitters together.
Maybe you’re getting this message and we haven’t met yet but you want to support the creation of multilingual access in North Carolina and the South. Your donation will help us acquire brand new equipment that would let 40 people actively participate in a multilingual space. Each piece costs at least $100 so we really need your help! With the equipment we can train new interpreters, Spanish speaking mothers can speak their truth with the principal of their children’s school, CPC staff can listen to histories of language loss in our region. We have so much beautiful work sprouting up and we could use your help!
Support this because you love us, because you love language justice, because you want to support multilingual organizing in Western North Carolina. Your support will allow us to create share, dream, plot and plan across language.
Abrazos y gracias por su apoyo!
