EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2013
Every year, the Marshall New Market Battalion hosts a long time traditional event scored by the United States Army for ROTC Cadets and Faculty. The Army 'Dining In' is a formal, social event that is planned, hosted and conducted by the cadets. Many of the traditions are purposed to honor those who have or currently do serve in the Armed Forces, especially those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defence of our Nation.
For a Cadet, the bulk of VMI and ROTC life is spent closely with his/her fellow cadets, forming strong bonds of friendship and trust, forged through the rigors of military discipline and academics. The dining in is in large part a commemoration of these bonds, and the many memories that were created over the years. From the decorations, music, food, the evenings festivities..even down to the place settings, tokens and memorabilia, each aspect of this event is purposed to remain in keeping with the highest honors and traditions of Army Life and society, and to remind the cadets of the legacy of service which they are pursuing.
In order to achieve the best possible outcome for this event, we need your help! Please consider what you will offer in support of your VMI Cadets and future leaders of the worlds finest army.
