BENEFITING: 2020 MOM
EVENT DATE: Apr 30, 2017
Did you know that one in five perinatal moms suffer from a maternal mental health disorder? This makes maternal mental health disorders the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth. And they can leave a lasting impact on both mom and baby. Untreated depression and anxiety during pregnancy is a leading cause of preterm birth. In addition, women who delivery preterm and/or have a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are at higher risk for MMH disorders. 2020Mom works to support maternal mental health through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
2020Mom is partnering with March of Dimes to raise awareness about this important condition. We walk in the March for Babies for all of the mothers and their babies who have experienced loss, a preterm birth or a mental health disorder. Your contribution will go towards the wonderful work of these two valuable organizations, 2020Mom and March of Dimes. Thank you so much for caring for Mamas and their babies!
