Hi! My name is Camille and I am a 4th year student at NYU. I'm running my FIRST Marathon this November and who else than to run it for than the greatest city in the world, New York? I've been volunteering with New York Cares since my first semester of my freshman year, and particularly rekindled my love for running through my favorite volunteering activities with NYCares. I worked closely with Achilles Kids / Achilles International and that's where I re-fell in love with running. Distance running isn't always easy, and I'm not particularly good at it either, but it IS a marathon, not a sprint! :)

New York Cares is proud to participate in the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon. As the city’s largest volunteer management organization, we’re thrilled to have a team of runners that have committed their time and resources to raise money for New York Cares’ impactful volunteer programs that serve over 400,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers every year.
Please help support these runners and their mission to address issues related to education, hunger, homelessness, and environmental revitalization throughout the city. You can make a donation in support of a particular runner or make a general donation in support of the entire New York Cares team. Thanks to the time and effort donated by our 64,000 volunteers, every dollar New York Cares receives translates into six dollars of value back into the community. See how your donation can make a lasting impact on New York:
- $2,500 allows 92 adults to benefit from job training
- $1,000 enables 65 low-income families to claim their tax refunds and credits
- $500 helps us to collect and distribute 166 warm winter coats to at-risk New Yorkers
- $100 gives three public high school students help with math and science
