EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
I am running my first marathon in New York City on November 3rd, 2013, and as a thank you to this sparkly city for letting me jog on its sidewalks, I'm using the 26.2 miles as an excuse to give back to one of its finest (and most used by me) institutions.
Do I really need to explain why this is a worthy cause? That libraries provide not only FREE BOOKS, but also literacy training, job services, and a safe place to go? That without it I might have to own a TV? And that, to misquote Cicero, a town without a library is like a body without a soul?
Thanks for your support!
