NEW YORK SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF via Crowdrise
June 16, 2015
We are so excited to report that our children will have a new playground by the fall 2015! We have increased our goal so we can install attractive fencing to keep our students safe and landscaping for a beautiful play area. Thanks to all of our donors and to KOMPAN Playgrounds for your steadfast support. We could not realize this dream without you.
Every child deserves and needs a safe, accessible place to play and we need your help to make this happen at New York School for the Deaf (also known as Fanwood).
Our playground sustained permanent, structural damage from Hurricane Sandy and our children can no longer safely use it to play. We need to raise funds to build a new, fully accessible playground that will meet the needs of all of our students. Some of our students use wheelchairs and walkers and we need a playground that is accessible and beneficial to all of our children.
Please view our video and slide show and consider starting your own fundraising page for us (click on "join the team") and sharing with friends and family. A donation to our main page is great too. Thank you so much!
