BENEFITING: KESSLER-KEENER LECTURES INC
The Mentor Artists Playwrights Project (www.mentorartists.org) is completing its 4th year of programming on the Nez Perce Reservation. In the Fall of 2011, young people from Lapwai High School, wrote one act plays. These plays were recently performed by professional actors at Native American Awareness Week on the Lewis Clark State College Campus in Lewiston, Idaho.
We are currently preparing to bring the readings to the entire community, including elders, parents, and the 600 young people attending Lapwai elementary, middle, and high schools on the Nez Perce Reservation.
The money raised will be used to cover travel expenses and artist's fees.
