GIANT GAME FOR GOOD: NATIONAL GRID EMPLOYEES PLAY BREAD RUN TO HELP FIGHT HUNGER ON LONG ISLAND!

National Grid will use the POWER OF PLAY to fundraise to help the hungry October 11th, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Employees from National Grid will join together on the Hicksville Campus to play Bread Run to raise funds for Island Harvest! Bread Run is a capture-the-flag tournament style game where teams of bakers compete to capture the most bread. It’ll be a blast!

The USDA estimates that 42 million people, including 13 million children, in the United States were food insecure in 2015. That means 1 in 8 individuals (13.4%), and 1 in 6 children (17.9%), lived in households without consistent access to adequate food. Long Island alone has 170,000 residents who are food insecure. Bread Run Corp is a 501(c)(3) founded by students to help raise funds to fight hunger in local communities.

Our mission is to spread the power of giving through live games and competition!

Island Harvest is the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island. Its mission is to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island and committed to fighting the root causes of hunger as well.

We hope to see you there to help us fight hunger in our community! Let’s Dough It!
