BENEFITING: NORTH HILLS COMMUNITY OUTREACH INC
ORGANIZER: NORTH HILLS COMMUNITY OUTREACH INC
EVENT: Pittsburgh Marathon 2016
EVENT DATE: May 01, 2016
It was such a great experience running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to benefit North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO) the last couple of years that I decided to do it again. Most importantly, with the very generous support of family and friends, we have raised money to support community members that need a helping hand.
Currently, NHCO has a grant that will match all individual contributions. This is truly a great time to support us and take advantage of the additional matching contribution.
If you're looking for a way to make a difference, I invite you to help NHCO by donating in support of my half marathon run on May 1, 2016.
NHCO is a Pittsburgh-based interfaith organization working toward a community where no one is hungry, cold, or alone. The organization does amazing work, from growing fresh produce in their Bellevue garden and distributing it from their food pantries, to helping families in crisis pay their heating bills, to helping people learn financial management and the new job skills they need to succeed. Last year, NHCO helped more than 5,000 families. You can learn about NHCOs other services on the website: http://nhco.org
Thank you in advance for helping NHCO continue their great work!
$20 will buy school supplies or a new backpack for a child to start the school year right.
$50 will pay the heat bill so children don't have to do their homework in a freezing room.
$ 75 will pay for a month's worth of gas so a man can get to work and support his family.
$100 will pay the light bill for a senior couple struggling to stay in their own home.
