BENEFITING: CORNER OF LOVE MINISTRIES
EVENT DATE: Feb 08, 2014
God has placed an amazing opportunity in front of me and has blessed me with the training to go. I will be traveling with Corner of Love Ministries out of Maple Valley, WA to San Ramon, Nicaragua February 8th through 15th. Corner of love leads multiple trips per year to continuously work to provide care and share the gospel with this impoverished community. San Ramon is a small municipality approximately 2.5-3 hours bus ride outside of Managua (the capital of Nicaragua). Once there, I will be working with a multi-faceted team of medical and non-medical persons to provide medical, dental, vision services as well as distribute much needed shoes, clothes and basic resources to the people of San Ramon and the villages surrounding it. Many of the people that we will be serving survive on less than $1 per day (that’s not even one Starbucks drip coffee!!)
I was recently offered a job in the emergency department. I just finished all of the training involved with this. The training and situations that the ER has put me in have made me a stronger medical provider and I now feel ready and as if God is opening up the door for me to go and serve alongside other medical professionals internationally.
I am extremely excited that God has opened the door for me to be able to care for His children internationally. The exciting part is that you will be able to share in that with me in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and my fellow travelers that God would keep each of us healthy, focused and cohesive. Pray that I will be able to be open and willing to be the voice of Christ to the people of San Ramon. We will also need prayer that our financial needs will be met. The trip will cost me $1,700 in total. The funds will go toward medical packs, vitamins, baby supplies, clean water and many other items that are otherwise unobtainable to the people of Nicaragua.
Another way you can be involved is to help provide financial support. Would you prayerfully consider supporting me with a donation?
Weather you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer or both, all of your support is greatly appreciated.
I look forward to seeing how God works in Nicaragua and letting you know all about it when I return.
