The Nicholas Sparks Foundation is a nonprofit committed to improving cultural and international understanding through global education experiences for students of all ages, as well as support of global organizations dedicated to helping communities and people in need.
Over the years Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, The Best of Me, and fifteen other New York Times bestsellers, and his family have generously contributed more than $10,000,000 to various charities and organizations that help people and serve communities.
In 2006, recognizing the importance of childhood education, Nicholas Sparks started The Epiphany School in New Bern, North Carolina, with a focus on global education, service to others and one's own community, and international understanding. In the fall of 2011, the Nicholas Sparks Foundation was formed to expand the philanthropy of the Sparks family, while showcasing the work being done at The Epiphany School on a national level. Nicholas's hope is that friends and fans will be equally inspired to contribute and help make an impact on the world.
This year, we want to expand and support organizations that help people. Our intial focus will be on veterans and their families veterans in addition to our focus on education and international betterment of humankind.
