Nick wants to build a bridge.
Organized by: Josephine Tolentino
We Need Your Help Please!!! In these times of uncertainty, while many nations face a choice of closing their borders, my children and I want to be bridge builders. We are organizing a fundraiser for summer campers at a summer camp in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. The core of our mission for this summer is to help teach children to play Lacrosse. This game is fascinating! Lacrosse was invented by Native Americans, the Algonquin tribe around 500 AD. My son would like to introduce and teach the children, summer campers a different sport. He wants to get all those bench warmers up and running and having fun. Recent studies have found that kids spend more than 7 hours a day on electronic media. Play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of children and youth. Nick did this last year at a different location and the kids had so much fun; he wants to do this again at the camp where he is teaching kids computer skills. I am hoping that you will join us in our mission to help my daughters and I give a hand of help to their brother, Nick. We are in need of some equipment for Lacrosse, to get this program started for the summer with hopes that it will be incorporated into the spring, summer and fall programs. Thank you for your partnership!!!! We really appreciate it.
