I was first introduced to the work that Special Olympics does through my Aunt, who has devoted her professional career as a Special Education teacher. Since then, throughout high school and college I have volunteered at Boston Children’s Hospital and continue to participate in coaching as part of the Unified Basketball and Track teams working with kids and their families. I have been inspired by the incredible work of the Special Olympics and its profound impact in the Massachusetts community and I am honored to have the opportunity to run the 2017 Boston Marathon as part of the Special Olympics Massachusetts team.
My personal fundraising goal is $10,000 and I will be working hard over the next several months, not only to train physically and mentally for this important event, but to raise as much money for Special Olympics as possible.
I hope you will consider donating to help me work toward achieving my goal. No donation is too small and for those who cannot contribute monetarily, I am so grateful for your support and encouragement.
