Why I race for Eleonre Rocks:
In 2012 we became pregnant with quadruplets. We knew there were many risk factors associated with a high order pregnancy and we were planning a long hospital stay. My wife was on bedrest in he hospital 7 weeks and my children were in the NICU 6 weeks after being born at 29 weeks and 4 days. People's acts of kindness helped us through this trying time in our life and we appreciated it very much. We would like to repay these kind acts and we believe the mission of Eleonore Rocks will allow us to do so. (Eleonorerocks.org)
Having the chance to race the Ironman World Championships is a dream come true. The strength of my children inspires me and I hope my finishing Kona will show parents around the world that it is possible to maintain a healthy lifestyle, even when raising four babies. Finding the time can be hard and it is never ideal, but I believe my fitness has allowed me to be a better parent and also be able to keep up with my childrens needs.
