THE STORY:

Nicole's lifelong dream to become a Pediatrician. Since Nicole was 10 she has dreamt of being a doctor. As a single mom, I did everything I could to help. She put in the hard work and has made it happen. During her elementary school several children had developed Leukemia, Nicole served as her connection to school and her friends and being part of thier journey. She both wrote and gave thier eulogy. She was beyond her years. She has never stopped. In high school, she got up at 4:00am many mornings to help at Caritas and feed the homeless. Her love and devotion all through high school. Her passion helped her graduate medical school with honors and awards for her community work. During her junior and senior year of medical school she and 7 other medical students started a low-income health clinic to help those who couldn't afford care. They recruited a necessary Doctor to over see their project, brought in donations, mamagram machines and the necessary items to treat the large number of sick and diabetics in this community. Now I would like to do something for her. The long hours and not a lot of pay, made it difficult for her to do much for herself. As she leaves Residency, her student loans will begin and our discussions about the cost of paying for these loans are overwhelming and how she will be able to manage these expenses ($3K amonth). In a career as a public servant, she gives with all her heart. Now, as her mom I asking for your help. Her student loans are $200K. I want to help ease her mind and so she can focus on her new role as doctor and caring for others. Thank you. Lots of Love, Nicole's Mom
