Nim's Journey through life. She still needs help.
Organized by: Donna Mead
Ok folks, here's the good...the bad...and the ugly on Nim:
Nim's test came back negative for cancer! She spent the day a while back, getting poked and prodded, and was quite the trooper for her mass aspiration. Apparently now has quite the fan club at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital! The results from her cytology test came back, confirming what the xrays had indicated; which is a large calcium deposit had formed on her scapula as well as on her foot..
The calcium deposits came on fast and will most likely continue to grow since she herself is still growing. This can eventually lead to painful movement as well as problems with developing kidney stones. The final diagnosis is, (confirmed now by two veterinarians), the growths needs to be surgically removed, and the sooner the better. Plus she is now showing signs of neurologicalproblems in her rear leg complicated by severe Hip Dysplasia.
All this leads to our reason for creating a new Crowdrise fundraiser. Nim's surgery estimates have come to at least $2,000.00. They recommend her surgeries be scheduled as soon as possible due to concerns for her kidneys developing stones.
We thank everyone for your continued support, without great folks out there who are willing to lend a hand, we wouldn't be able to continue to help the animals at the same level we do now - Thank You!
