Cleveland Sight Center White Cane Walk 2016
Cleveland Sight Center’s White Cane Walk, presented by the Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio, is an annual fundraising event that attracts over 400 guests. Through a generous challenge grant from SWP Foundation, the first $30,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar!

Schedule of Events:
5K Run – 8:30 a.m.
1 Mile Stroll – 9:00 a.m.
White Cane Walk – 10:00 a.m.
Located on the main square of Legacy Village, the festive, street fair atmosphere provides an opportunity for individuals to learn how those with vision loss perform daily tasks through hands-on activities and educational stations, including walking the sidewalks UNDER BLINDFOLD using the standard white cane for navigating -i.e., the name of the event- while escorted by a sighted guide. All proceeds directly benefit the programs and services at Cleveland Sight Center, which has recent been named a Four Star Charity by Charity Navigators
