BENEFITING: HUNTERDON YOUTH SERVICES INC
EVENT DATE: Jul 09, 2016
Our team of four endurance riders will be participating in a 24-hour cycling challenge to raise money for Hunterdon Youth Services (HYS). We will start in New York's Hudson Valley on July 9 at 10:00 am and ride 226 miles ending at Pete's Bike Shop in Flemington NJ at 10:00 am on July 10 as part of the New Jersey Randonneurs NJ Arrow 360K. This event, which involves different teams simultaneously riding from distinct locations all converging together on one destination is entirely self-supported and will be undertaken rain or shine. Don't worry, we have good lights!
Proceeds from all fundraising will be donated to Hunterdon Youth Services, an outstanding organization that provides a responsive, safe, and therapeutic environment for adolescent males and their families during transition or crisis. Programs are designed to restore trust, build social skills, encourage independence, and develop a path for each young man toward personal achievement. Each year, HYS provides more than 3,000 nights of safe, compassionate care to young men who have been abandoned, abused or neglected. In addition, HYS offers family therapy sessions, planned family outings, and the coordination of in-home and reunification services. In short, Hunterdon Youth Services provides critical support to individuals who need it most. Your generous tax-deductible donation will change a life.
