No Paw Left Behind Medical Fund
Organized by: Corinne McGinley
No Paw Left Behind is known for not saying no.
When we get a call for help, 9 times out of 10 we help. We have taken on so much over the last month and a half and could really use some help getting on our feet. We recently took on a hoarding case where we trapped 15 cats, 10 of which are still in our care. The cats that were healthy enough have been spayed/neutered and received their vaccines. Several still need to be spayed/neutered and all of them need further vetting for different issues (most have mouth problems - no teeth, dental disease, etc) as well as FIV/FeLV testing before we can try to place them in either homes or barns (this is the case for most). Most of them will require sedation (added expense) in order to do this.
We have also taken on several pregnant cats and a number of orphan kittens during the last month. We currently have over 60 cats in rescue (30 are kittens) and a list of people waiting for us to help them. Again, we are famous for not saying no so to not be able to help any more is not sitting well with us. With your help we can get these (hoarder) cats the proper care and placed so that we have the time and space to continue to help more. As of now, we are at a standstill and our intake is closed. If we can get 700 people (that is just 13% of our fb followers) to donate just $5 each we could reach our goal!
As many know, we also recently lost our pretty girl Penny. We owe a large balance ($1400) to our vet for her critical care stay. And we are doing a very conservative estimate of $200 per (hoarder) cat for a total of $2000. This will not cover all the expenses but it sure would be an ENORMOUS help! Rescues rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the public in order to stay afloat. We are still a young rescue so don't have the continued and steady support that some of the more established rescues have. We appreciate every donation and/or share in this time of need. Thank you! <3
