Founded in 2014, No Shame On U is dedicated to eliminating the stigma associated with mental health conditions and raising awareness in the Jewish community and beyond. Our goal is for the people who need help to seek it, for family members and friends to know how to provide proper support and to save lives. We achieve our mission through community outreach programs - larger and smaller speaker oriented events such as our teen mental health forum featuring 4 girls presenting the results of a study showing the high prevalence of mental health conditions among Chicago teenage females; sharing tools and resources through our online presence of nearly 40,000 Facebook followers, distributing resources at fairs, festivals and parades and educational presentations.
