On a mission to re-build our youth!
March 15, 2016
Last year the No Books No Ball 815 foundation helped over 30 Rockford area youth gain athletic scholarships through Ball stars Showcase, NBNB815 camps, my network and contacts. My name is Condric Sanders, I'm the founder of No Books No Ball 815. For 16yrs I coached college basketball at the Junior college, NAIA, NCAA D2 & D1 levels. My career was cut short when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013 while coaching at Florida A&M University. I came back home to Rockford Illinois and to a city that has been hit hard with high crime, high murder rate, low graduation rate and a lack of structure for youth. I started the No Books No Ball 815 foundation with strong intentions of raising social awareness on our issues and reaching our youth through athletics. My vision/mission is to strengthen our youth by placing academics before athletics and preparing them to be college ready both socially and academically. March of 2015 I introduced Ball Stars Basketball Showcase to Rockford and we had 100 kids participate and 21 kids gained scholarships from the event, we also hosted 2 youth camps, Rockford's 1st ever Pro-Am and a back to school event that was geared towards COLLEGE READINESS!!! Our kids need events like Ball Stars, and our upstart AAU Program called ONE VISION that carries the same vision as NBNB815. Rick Ball is the founder of Ball Stars and for over 30 years he's helped thousands of kids gain a free education and has held camps across the country and it was a blessing to have him pick Rockford IL as one of his locations. Last year citizens of the community sponsored kids to play in Ball Stars and attend our camps while sponsoring NBNB815. I'm asking the community and friends to donate what you can to help a kid gain a scholarship that could well cost in the 100's of thousands of dollars. YES your donation could help a kid gain a free scholarship, your donation can help a kid get involved in AAU Basketball and travel to events to be seen by college coaches. Your donation could help a kid attend one of our camps for free, help a kid get mentored by professionals in the community, We also are scheduling college tours for our youth, working on a summer literacy program and a few college readiness programs. YOUR DONATION COULD BRING HOPE TO A KID!
